Scinus Cell Expansion and ATMP-Center at Skåne University Hospital Partner for Advances in Cell Therapy

During BIO-Europe in Stockholm, Scinus Cell Expansion marked a significant step forward in establishing a collaborative relationship with Region Skåne by signing a Letter of Intent with the ATMP-Center at Skåne University Hospital. Together, our aim is to drive innovation and progress in the field of cell and gene therapy. The milestone was celebrated in the presence of Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade, Reinette Klever, and VNO-NCW Chair, Ingrid Thijssen.

This potential partnership aligns with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cell and gene therapy originally signed during the Dutch royal visit to Sweden in 2022, and re-affirmed and extended in 2023. Facilitated by the Dutch pavilion at BIO-Europe and supported by HollandBIO and Health~Holland, this event is an example of the expanding partnerships between the Netherlands and Sweden in the healthcare sector.

With a shared vision for developing and refining methods for cell culture and expansion, Scinus Cell Expansion and the ATMP-Center at Skåne University Hospital are well-positioned to support advancements in therapies for treating a wide range of conditions, including rare diseases, cancer, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases. Serving as the central hub for cell and gene therapy development, the ATMP-Center is an invaluable partner as we aim to create innovative protocols for cell expansion.

Through this partnership, we look forward to co-developing techniques that hold potential for breakthroughs in patient care, paving the way for a healthier future.
